JSON to CSV Converter: a practical guide
Turn an array of JSON objects into a downloadable CSV file.
Open JSON to CSV ConverterWhen this is useful
JSON objects and CSV tables represent data differently. A CSV export needs a column order and one cell per field, while JSON can contain nested objects and arrays. This tool accepts a nonempty array of objects and builds columns from the union of their field names.
A reliable workflow
Paste the array and convert it. Missing or null fields become empty CSV cells, while nested values become JSON text inside a cell. Commas, quotes, and line breaks are quoted using CSV conventions. The result is downloadable with a .csv extension and uses CRLF record separators.
Example input: [{"name":"Ibrahim","city":"Karachi"}]
What to check before you finish
Spreadsheet formula protection is enabled by default. It prefixes potentially formula-like values with an apostrophe, including sensitive headers, before quoting. This changes those values intentionally. Confirm the importing application’s rules, especially for leading zeros, dates, formula detection, and character encoding; CSV does not carry data types.
